Piero Fornasetti Tray
A transfer printed metal tray from the Tema e Variazioni series, featuring a cropped image of the eyes of Lina Cavalieri in black-and-white transfer print. Lina Cavalieri was a 19th Century Italian opera singer and actress whose image was extensively used by Fornasetti as the basis for the Tema e Variazioni series, developed from the 1950s onward. With original label dating the item to the late 1950s/early 1960s.
