Armchair
An early 19th-century walnut armchair attributed to Gillows. The chair has a moulded frame with a raked cane back and shaped scrolled arms with rounded terminals. The solid walnut seat is saddle-shaped and raised on turned and tapered legs joined by stretchers, retaining brass cup castors. The model reflects Gillows’ focus on practical comfort combined with disciplined proportion and robust construction.
