Bertil Brisborg Table Lamp
A mid-century table lamp with a spun brass domed shade supported on a tapering turned teak stem and circular brass base. The shallow shade is surmounted by a small brass finial and incorporates an underside light aperture, allowing for controlled downward illumination. The combination of teak and brushed brass is characteristic of Brisborg’s work for Nordiska Kompaniet, reflecting Scandinavian lighting design that prioritised functional light distribution and material clarity.
Designed by Bertil Brisborg for Nordiska Kompaniet. Sweden, circa 1960.
