Root Wood Side Table
Side table constructed from assembled root wood elements, surmounted by a thick burl wood top with a natural, irregular edge. The base is composed of interlinked root sections, shaped and joined to provide stability while retaining the expressive character of the original material. Root and burl furniture was fashionable in England in the late 19th century, valued for its organic forms and visual irregularity.
